Resume
Senior Manager of Trend and Print Design
Boston Proper 2018- Present
I lead the conceptual design and execution of all private-label prints across multiple categories, including swim, developing seasonal color palettes, trend stories, and fabric direction that shape each collection. My work blends creative vision with strategic trend forecasting, informed by market research, runway analysis, and digital trend platforms. I design prints, embroideries, and embellishments that bring the seasonal direction to life, while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams and overseas partners to ensure ideas translate seamlessly from concept to production.
Throughout development, I oversee lab dips, strike-offs, and bulk approvals to ensure color accuracy and product quality. I also incorporate AI-driven design tools to streamline development and expand creative possibilities. One of the highlights of my work has been helping drive $14.5M in sales against a $7M plan, more than doubling the target. This success was largely fueled by our best-selling swimwear print. In addition, I manage a $70K artwork budget, maintain the brand’s print and color archives, and oversee product data within the PLM system to keep development running efficiently.
Assistant Manager of Trend and Print Design
Macy’s 2013-2016
After being promoted from Administrative Assistant to Trend and Print Design Director, I led the development of customer-focused prints informed by deep research into market trends, print direction, and color forecasting. I analyzed design decisions to minimize fabric waste and increase profitability while navigating manufacturing challenges and overseeing lab dips and bulk submissions to maintain quality and consistency. Working closely with design teams, product partners, and overseas manufacturers, I helped streamline communication and execution throughout the development process. I also merchandised seasonal color stories to build cohesive assortments, managed a seasonal budget of over $100,000, and created original prints, colorways, and repeats that supported the brand’s seasonal vision.
